TECC Trash Hotline

Trash Picture

(760) 471-9354

Trash continues to be a problem in the Escondido Creek Watershed. A small pile of trash seems to attract more dumping. To prevent that, TECC will clean up illegal trash dumps that threaten the creek. To report trash near the creek, please call the TECC Trash Hotline. Give us the location and description of the trash and the date of your call. If you can send a digital photo via email -- that is worth 1,000 words!

TECC volunteers have 'adopted' stretches of county highway in the watershed to keep litter-free through the County of San Diego's 'Adopt-a-Highway' program. You are invited to join us on our regular 'litter patrols'.

Large item cleanups are done two to four times a year. TECC received a grant from the Elfin Forest Community Foundation to pay for tipping fees at the Carlsbad transfer station. Support for cleanups is volunteer. If you would like to lend a hand, call the Trash Hotline at (760) 471-9354 or Contact TECC via e-mail to be added to our notification list for future pickups.
